Carlos "KRL" Mera

Carlos Mera, also known as KRL, is a writer, actor, producer/Dj of electronic music, and owner of his own record label "KRL Records".

Carlos Mera was born in Cartagena, Colombia, and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. His identity as KRL was created in 2007. Since 2009 KRL has released music in the form of albums and singles.

In 2016 KRL released the album #Tangible! from which 5 singles came out and all reached #1 in Napster Latino making this album a success.

Until 2020 KRL has released more than 28 singles with various collaborations, being "Fight for What Is Right (Radio Edit)" one of their best songs, having "Emarie" (professional singer who worked with Avicii on "Malo") as vocal singer, and being mastered in Germany by "Klaas" one of the producers of "Infinity 2008"

In 2022 "Fight for What Is Right (Radio Edit)" won Best EDM Song of 2022 at the Psychedelic Music and Film Festival in New York City.

In July 2023 Carlos KRL Mera wins Best Actor category at the International Film Award of Dubai for his role as Ramón Cortez in Captured: The First Capture.

In April 2024 Carlos KRL Mera wins the Golden Firefly in Cannes, France at the World Film Festival in the category Best Acting Debut for "Secuestrados"
