Lindy Morelli is a hermitess in the Melkite Greek Catholic Church in the Eparke of Newton, Massachusetts, and has lived in religious vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience for 34 years.
Following the Carmelite tradition of prayer and silence, she has dedicated her life to constant prayer and sacrificial love in service to the Church and to God's people. She is also the founder and executive director of Lighthouse in Scranton Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, whose purpose is to offer hope, love and comfort to the distressed, with a special emphasis on helping the wrongly convicted.
In the past, Lindy has been involved in various intense ministries to the poor, and has a special dedication to providing comfort to the oppressed. She has worked extensively in the fields of pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, providing musical services for church groups, and in providing encouragement through the ministry of writing.
The ministries of Lighthouse continue to evolve and develop, as an outgrowth of Lindy's prayerful love for God and her brothers and sisters.
