Marcia Hebert

After a long and successful career in early education, as teacher, director, mentor, coach, and consultant to other leaders in the field, I now have the time to pursue other interests.

I travel the world with my husband. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I cheer on my three grandsons from the sidelines. I enjoy my home and the land surrounding it. I love living in a small New England town. And, I thoroughly enjoy the peace and quiet of being alone now and then.

Writing has always been my go-to creative outlet. I write about what I know—the experiences I have lived and learned from—professionally, and now, personally. I have been journaling for forty years. Imagine a closet filled with notebooks!

I hold a Master’s Degree in education leadership and management and I have an inner drive to learn, and then, share what I've learned—with the hope it will help, assist, and support others on their journeys.

My education leadership blog has been well received by readers from around the world.

At age seventy, I began writing my first book. My desire to pass on to my colleagues, what I had experienced and learned throughout my career, was strong. And, in 2020, Beginning to End – the Life Cycle of a Child Care Center was published!

At seventy-five, I have written my second book. It will be published in 2024. This is the inward journey of my life, the inner world I have never shared— until now. It is my story, but I suspect it may well be every woman’s story. I am excited to bring daylight to this part of me, with the hope of inspiring and passing on the wisdom gathered to my younger sisters – everywhere.

I continue to write from my little cedar cottage. Stay tuned...
