Helen Roberts

Helen was brought up in the town of Redcar with her mum, dad and eight older brothers. After meeting her husband at Chester College, she now resides in Nottinghamshire with her two gorgeous teenage sons, Sam and Ben and her beloved Welshman. She spends her working life as the extremely proud Headteacher of a small rural primary school in the heart of Nottinghamshire.

She has always been passionate about starting a love of reading and books in young children. When her own sons were young, her most precious moments were sharing the books at bedtime. As a teacher, she has spent the last 25 years trying to bring books to life when reading to her pupils. Her desire to be a Blue Peter presenter (when she grows up!) really did shine through when 'presenting' books to the children and accouraging them to join in with every line.

This and other stories she has written, are all inspired by the animals in her own garden and how she imagines they act, talk and play together. Having recently become a vegan, her wish is to declare her love for animals and an awareness to everyone, that these animals have thoughts, feelings and maybe even dreams. Just ask Rocky!
