Jonathan McGouran, an experienced teacher, Head of Year, former Head of Maths, and father, has dedicated over 20 years to supporting the growth of hundreds of children from diverse backgrounds. He has taught at some of the top independent and state schools, giving him a unique insight into what children need to thrive. As Head of Year, he works closely with children and parents, focusing on essential life skills that build resilience, confidence, and empathy. Being a parent himself, Jonathan understands first-hand the challenges and rewards of raising children and the skills they need to succeed.

Jonathan’s “Sakura Learning” series is designed to equip young readers with practical skills and a growth mindset, teaching them that challenges are valuable parts of the journey. Inspired by cherry blossoms, his books encourage each child to see their development as a path to purpose and self-discovery.
