Lutfi Askandar

Lutfi Askandar is a youth coach, mentor, and sporting director who has spent over a decade working closely with young athletes and their families.

Through years on sidelines, in locker rooms, and during quiet car rides home, Lutfi has seen how the moments after competition shape far more than performance. He believes development doesn’t happen in the heat of emotion, it happens when children feel emotionally safe, trusted, and supported by the people who matter most.

His work focuses on helping parents respond with presence instead of pressure, reflection instead of reaction, and intention instead of impulse. Rather than offering scripts or quick fixes, Lutfi emphasizes timing, emotional regulation, and connection as the foundation for long-term growth both in sport and in life.

Lutfi publishes under The Mavericks Way, a values-driven imprint dedicated to developing people through sport, mentorship, and intentional leadership.
