Melanie Goodwin has been an artist since childhood, but it took decades to become a paid, producing artist. She has a range of experience as a small business CEO, an Amazon Best-selling author under a different name, a winner of multiple songwriting awards and multiple projects as a singer-songwriter, composer/arranger and music producer. Her coaching certifications from Tony Robbins (officially, Robbins-Madanes) and John Maxwell equip her for both interventionist and democratic coaching styles. Her focus in life, as a musician, author, speaker and coach, is on the proper understanding and use of the Imagination as a recovery tool, and then for transcendent experiences and artistic endeavors. She lives between Nashville, TN and the Los Angeles area.
LATEST ENDEAVORS:
By her own description, Melanie's latest book, Resurrected Roadkill, is a teaching memoir; a "Trojan Horse". She uses compelling story-telling to keep readers engaged while offering inspiration and tools for transformation. She takes readers and trauma survivors on a journey of the soul and reveals how God works to help human beings bring forth their most authentic life's work, no matter how stuck or confused they may have been before. Resurrected Roadkill has been described as "strikingly honest" by one reviewer and another wrote, "Melanie Goodwin deftly weaves her personal experiences with trauma and their aftermath with current, relevant trauma research and sound healing practices." (Goodreads .com).
Melanie is a working artist, has faith-based courses and proprietary tools for "renewing the mind", and is cultivating an artist's collective of Imagination-based artists who have moved from listless or stuck to "listening" and strategically engaged. Melanie believes artists can bring light to an age that is starved for meaning.
