Brindley Hosken is a farmer who farms on the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall. His forebears on both sides of his family have farmed in West Cornwall for generations. His farm, Withan runs down to Frenchman`s Creek, a local beauty spot made famous by Daphne du Maurier`s novel of the same name. Brindley and his wife Ruth have recently finished walking the South West Coast Path. At 630 miles long and stretching from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset, it has proved to be very challenging for them. Brindley has been a Parish Councillor for 35 years and has been involved with the Young Farmers club for nearly fifty years, recently finishing four years as Vice President of Cornwall Young Farmers. He started writing in 2007 after being asked to write about farming in the local magazine.
