Vicky Smith

Vicky is an experienced and pragmatic change agent with over 25 years experience of consulting, coaching, facilitation and training. The focus of her first MSc research project and dissertation was sustainable behavioural change within individuals, teams and organisations; with the effects of resilience training on work-related stress in large complex organisations, for her second MSc; and the effects of healthy behaviours on work performance for her third MSc. She is currently researching her PhD in Organisational Health and Wellbeing, specialising in psychological safety.

When Vicky is working with clients supporting organisational change, she uses a flexible, transparent approach offering clarity, insight and inspiration. She energises and motivates those around her, generating drive, enthusiasm and accountability. When coaching or training, Vicky’s passion is helping people make pragmatic changes that are both sustainable yet significant in terms of their performance and self-esteem.

Vicky is qualified to deliver Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) INLPTA) accredited courses, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Steps I and II, Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQi), Team Emotional Intelligence, Total Quality Management (TQM) and DiSC/PPA Personality Profiling tool. She is also a qualified and practising psychotherapist, utilising her in-depth knowledge of the human psyche to help both individuals and teams live their best lives - sustainably - both at work and out of work.

Vicky began her consulting career in 1994 as an Investor in People Advisor and Assessor. She left corporate employment having reached senior status with responsibility for the strategic development needs of an organisation employing over 35,000 people. Her consultancy career has seen her working across the globe within a multitude of industries. She demonstrates flexibility of approach and style, and is creative when it comes to engaging participants so that she can successfully balance the needs of the organisation with the needs of the individual. Feedback confirms Vicky interacts confidently and effectively with individuals and groups at all levels within an organisation. She currently undertakes large-scale conference style speaking events and is often called upon when individuals or teams are in crisis.

Vicky’s has worked on projects for: BAE Systems, Splunk, GlaxoSmithKline, Unilever, Resolution Therapeutics, Brunswick Group, European Investment Bank, Charles Russell Speechly LLP, Mattel, Reassure, Rhizocore, SDS Academy, Blue Zoo, Wonga, Logicalis UK, Harrow Council, East Sussex County Council, Surrey Water, Babcock, Roche and Gruenental. Her projects include areas such as: development of an online resilience programmes, emotional intelligence, psychological safety and leadership development programmes, mental health champions training, bespoke team development, organisational politics, leading and managing for resilience, personal resilience, team resilience and agility, healthy performance behaviours, conflict transformation, co-located diverse team communication. Vicky is also passionate about animals and their connection with humans. She has written for Your Horse and British Dressage magazines and coaches riders to achieve their goals.
