George Ashley

George Ashley, Ph.D., LMSW, is an Associate Professor of Social Work at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU), in the United States. Dr. Ashley has served as a higher education professor and administrator for over 25 years combined with 30 years of social work practice experience working with children K-12. Dr. Ashley is also a consultant, trainer, and coach for educators and families on the topic of race, interpersonal communication, and resiliency in young children.

He has authored numerous scholarly articles and popular magazine articles, however, he considers his greatest contribution to this world as being able to co-author creative children’s books that will make a positive difference in the lives of children.
