Esther Osazee Itamah

Since before she obtained her BS.c in English from Ambrose Alli University, Esther Osazee Itamah has been fascinated with stories and creating them. She found a reason to embrace it fully when she began to see and understand certain Africa cultures and customs that didn’t seat well with her. Script writer and author of Breaking the Silence, a teenage book that addresses sexual abuse and steps to recovering from it. Also the author of several articles, quotes and Kofi the Outcast, a novel set in pre-colonial era where she addresses xenophobia, racism, colonialism and oppressive customs and attitudes towards children and women.

A personal experience of discrimination, racism and disvalue when she came to England the first time where she obtained a PGD in Management and MSc In Corporate Communication and Public Affairs from Robert Gordon University, Scotland. It then hit home when the effect of this was more damaging to her little son and her family. She has taken to create picture books for immigrants and their children who may be in the same space as they were some years ago and hope they find in her work the voice and courage they need for such terribly trying times. She is originally from Benin city, Nigeria and now lives in London with her family. Learn more at Amazon.com/author/estherosazeeitamah.com
