Lori Mazan

Lori Mazan is the co-founder, president, and chief coaching officer for Sounding Board, the first Dynamic Leadership Suite designed to bridge the leadership gap.

Lori has spent over 25 years coaching C-suite executives to develop critical leadership capabilities that have immediate and positive business outcomes. Her client roster included top executives at Fortune titans Chevron, Sprint, and Citibank, as well as venture-backed high-growth companies like Intellikine, Tapjoy, and 10XGenomics.

Many of the CEOs she developed said they would have benefited from leadership coaching earlier in their careers, including Sounding Board co-founder and CEO Christine Tao. Lori coached Christine while she was a rising star at Tapjoy.United in their desire to democratize access to high-quality leadership coaching, the two joined forces to launch Sounding Board in 2016. The company uses proprietary technology to deliver best-in-class leadership coaching while increasing program flexibility and scalability — enabling organizations to develop dynamic leaders at all levels. Sounding Board is backed by leading investors such as: Jazz Ventures, Canaan, Bloomberg Beta, Precursor Ventures, Correlation Ventures, Engage VC, and Gaingels. The company is one of less than three percent of female-founded organizations to raise venture capital.

In addition, Lori was on the founding team for Immersv, an ad network specifically geared towards virtual and augmented reality. She taught the Kaufman Foundation curriculum for Entrepreneurship and was an angel investor with Astia, a global not-for-profit organization dedicated to the success of women-led, high-growth ventures.

Lori received her BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia, and an MA in Adult Educational Psychology/Counseling from the University of San Francisco and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach through The Co-Active Training Institute.

Lori is a 30+ year practitioner and teacher of Tai Chi Chuan. She also has served on multiple non-profit Boards ranging from entrepreneurial education to preventing hunger and homelessness.

Lori is also the author of the upcoming book "Leadership Revolution: The Future of Developing Dynamic Leaders.”
