Spencer Kiper

Spencer Kiper, Louisiana's 2019 State Teacher of the Year, is passionate about sharing innovative practices and has presented regionally and nationally on topics that build innovative educational technology and STEM education capacities in other educators. With advanced degrees in educational technology, cyber education, educational leadership, and a doctor in education in the works, Spencer works to impact the teacher pipeline in his region by serving as an adjunct professor and school partner in the teacher preparation and alternative certification programs at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Nicholls State University, and Reach University. Currently, Spencer serves as an Ed Tech Specialist working to bolster teachers' instructional practice and efficacy through technology-based tools and strategies. For fun, he loves traveling to Walt Disney World with family and friends, wants to be either a Cast Member for Disney or an educator for NASA when he grows up.
