Helen Hagon

Originally from Yorkshire, Helen now lives in Lincolnshire in the heart of the British Isles. She holds an MA in Translation Studies as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and has worked with languages for many years as a teacher, administrator and literary translator, as well as writing poetry, short stories and educational materials. Being a firm believer that communication is the key to understanding, empathy and wellbeing, and familiar with the challenges of language learning and usage, Helen set up Written Words School of English in 2023 to help writers who would like to add a little more style and flair to their work, or anyone who is simply curious to know more about the English language and its literature. When she is not at her desk tinkering with words and polishing texts, Helen can be usually be found playing the violin and piano or enjoying the outdoors.
