Erica Leigh

Erica Leigh, a Massachusetts-based illustrator, began her creative career as an award-winning songwriter with a degree from Berklee College of Music. While studying there, she discovered her passion for painting, becoming Berklee's muralist and artist-in-residence. Facing an unexpected cancer diagnosis that threatened her ability to speak and sing, she found solace teaching music and art enrichment classes to young children.

In 2019, back in full health, Erica jumped at the chance to illustrate a children's picture book for the first time. Igniting her passion for both art and her love of children, Erica was hooked! She thought: “Where have you been all my life?!” Over the past four years, Erica has illustrated and designed graphics for over a dozen children's books by independent authors. She continues to seek meaningful projects to be a part of: She recently launched a series of journals and sketchbooks with original art on the cover, and is actively working toward author-illustrating her own picture books in the near future.
