I write stories and about folks other people do not write about, not just folks who are marginalized or not acknowledged because of their color or gender preference, but about people we have overlooked, who we never think about. Yet, these people, my characters have deep emotional lives and plenty going on in their lives that make us gag to know about them; their worlds are amazing, sometimes dark, different, even dangerous but always, always satisfying once we get to know them - they are absolutely astonishing and relatable so much so we want to know EVERYTHING about them and their world.
