Jack Ellis Westbrook

Let me introduce myself, I’m Celia Westbrook Thrash, daughter of Jack Westbrook i.e. Baker Catcher. I’m not a fancy author or even a good writer, but oh boy, do I ever have good stories to tell! My dad told his daughters, and later wrote down his memories from WWII. These stories take you through the very real and “human side” of WWII. His stories cover details from his time in training, when he learned the horror of a “GI bath”, through the torturous descriptions of Dacau, and on into the Occupation playing checkers with the Russians.

Don’t let the “just another book of WWII” keep you from reading this - you won’t regret it and you’ll go on retelling those stories yourself, because you won’t forget it. I promise.
