D Walsh Gilbert

Dual citizen of the Republic of Ireland and the United States, D. Walsh Gilbert is the author of "Ransom" (Grayson Books), "Once the Earth had Two Moons" (Cerasus Poetry), "imagine the small bones" (Grayson Books), "[M]AR[Y]" and SNARL (Kelsay Books), "Deirdre" (Impspired), "Finches in Kilmainham," "Misneach," and "From the Altar of the Land" (all, Grayson Books), "Bleat & Prattle" (Clare Songbirds Publishing House), and "no mother but the sky" (The Poetry Box). She leads the Farmington Valley Chapter of the Connecticut Poetry Society as well as a creative writing program at Masonicare at Middlewoods of Farmington. A multiple Pushcart Prize nominee, she has numerous publishing credits in poetry journals both in print and online, including several anthologies. She lives in Farmington, Connecticut, on a former sheep farm at the foot of Talcott Mountain in the watershed of the Farmington River, the original homelands of the Tunxis peoples.
