Thomas Roke was raised in the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy. From an early age, he was an avid reader of military history and his chief interest has always been the stories of men and women at war. He wrote his first full-length novel aged 18, while an undergraduate at university. He studied History at University of London and, after a few years as a freelance writer, joined the British Army as an officer. During his time in the Army, he has deployed to Kenya, the Falkland Islands, Afghanistan and the Middle East. He is still serving today.
