Emory Brown

Emory Brown, sometimes referred to online by the moniker 'Chibsahoy' chose this penname for the sake of searchability and ease of spelling. Thier Igbo-Nigerian name is quite unforgiving for most English speakers, just ask any substitute teacher who was made to pronounce it.

I love storytelling, it just took a few people telling me "You should write this stuff down" to listen finally. But we're here.

I used to watch Saturday morning cartoons like;

Spectacular Spiderman, Legion of Superheroes, The Batman, Gargoyles, and Chaotic. On Sunday mornings my brother and I would make up our own stories, settings, characters, magic/powers, etc.

As a teen movies like Batman; Under the Redhood and Men in Black influenced the types of stories I liked to create.

At this point, Greg Weissman and Brandon Vietti inspired my writing so much that they deserve 50% of the royalties.

The art of storytelling is my first love, but martial ones are my second. If you frequent Brazilian Jiu-jitsu tournaments in the DMV and/or Pennsylvania you might see me there, maybe even standing across from you! ;)
