Dan Clapson (@dansgoodside) is a best-selling cookbook author, award-winning food personality, and one of Canada’s most trusted authorities on restaurant culture and dining trends. His work has appeared in a wide range of acclaimed publications including The Globe & Mail, Eater, Out Magazine, Xtra, Canada’s 100 Best, Food Network Canada, the Calgary Herald, and more.
In 2023, his debut cookbook 'Prairie' became a Globe & Mail bestseller, further cementing his reputation as a leading voice in Canadian food media. He is also a regular guest on national television, appearing on shows such as The Social, The Good Stuff with Mary Berg, Breakfast Televsion and CTV Your Morning.
Highly regarded for his editorial insight and knowledge of the national dining landscape, Clapson is a co-founder of the food media outlet Eat North and serves as a panelist for Canada’s most prestigious restaurant award programs, including Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, Canada’s 50 Best Bars, and Air Canada’s Best New Restaurants.
