Amanda Elsnes

Dr. Elsnes is proud to teach at an alternative high school in Boulder, CO, where teaching and learning go hand in hand with inclusion and individualization. She earned a B.S. and M.A. from Northern Arizona University and she holds a Ph.D. in bilingual multicultural education from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and in 2022, she won the CO-CABE secondary bilingual teacher of the year award. She lives with her two daughters, Lucia and Allison, and Texas, their Chihuahua mix. She loves country dancing, jogging, and chasing her dreams because it keeps her in love with life.
