Bruce Paul Richards

Born in 1947 to Captain Gilbert H. Richards, Jr., hero destroyer commander of WWII, and his cute and feisty love, Peg, Bruce grew up on the Jersey Shore, a Boy Scout of the 50’s, a lifeguard and liberal of the 60’s. He graduated from Brown University in 1969 (turning his back on Henry Kissinger and pissing off his dad), spent a year in Hawaii driving a cab, went to grad school for two years in San Francisco and one semester in D.C., then returned to New Jersey where he taught high school for fifteen years before taking his young family to Vermont in 1989 to teach high school and community college. He wrote and took pictures all along the way but, famous for procrastination, did not get around to publication until now, as his other father, Time, finally got his attention.
