Dr. Tonnette Alcide, a clinical psychologist from New York City, was inspired to write her first children's book after the demise of her late father in 2020. This story of a young child's discovery of darkness and hope speaks of an uplifting and unifying catastrophic event that turns into a journey of unspeakable bravery.
Currently, Dr. Tonnette Alcide carries a Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism and Psychology. Then later, she received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology and currently provides adult therapy as a Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Alcide loves to attend Broadway shows, capture photos of her family, travel with her husband, and cook staple dishes from her father's country of birth, Saint Lucia. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband.
