Joyce De Ridder

Joyce is the author of Courage to Change, A Missions Memoir: 12 Years in Post-communist Slovakia. She blogs on thememorypenblog.com.

Most of her writing has been done as an academic. She has a bachelor's degree in sociology and social work, a master's degree in sociology and rehabilitation counseling, and a doctorate in Sociology. Many years were spent teaching in Universities. The latter part of her career was spent in counseling, writing, teaching, training, and program design and development related to addictions. She is president of Associates in Accomplishment, Inc., a non-profit under which she worked in Slovakia from 1997 - 2009. She continues with her non-profit today from her home in Holland, Michigan.
