Ronald C. Thomas Jr.

Dr. Ron Thomas, Jr. is an award-winning journalist, author, and professor. His journalistic work has appeared in major publications from the St Petersburg Times, Orlando Sentinel, Soldier of Fortune magazine, aas well as many other news and sports magazines in the US and UK.

In addition to several short stories and poems, he has also written many scholarly journal articles and encyclopedia entries, including articles about Tom Clancy, Carl Sagan, and Laurell Hamilton. He is the creator of the espionage-action-adventure character Barrett Anthony Kane who debuted in “The Deadly Genesis File” in 2024.

He has taught writing, communication, and journalism at several colleges and universities including Florida State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Full Sail University, the College of Central Florida, Gulf Coast State College, and Daytona State College.

Dr. Thomas has degrees from Gulf Coast State College, the University of West Florida, Florida State University, and the University of Florida. He has also done extensive post-doctoral work in the English department at Harvard.
