Jean Walton: founder of Everyday Girl Adventures and MissFit Networking Group.
Everyday girl. Optimistic realist. Adventure enthusiast. Self-proclaimed superhero.
Jean’s flair for adventure and passion for life are no secret to those who meet her. She sees the joy in the smallest moments and finds the silver lining in even the worst of situations. But if you ask her, she would tell you that most of her joy comes from sharing experiences with those around her and creating memories that last a lifetime.
Growing up in a large, artistic and musical family, Jean spent much of her life feeling stuck in the background. She always had a passion for adventure, and would often accompany her family in their endeavors. She knew she wanted something more, but lacked the confidence to feel she ever could be anything more than the average Clark Kent. However, when Jean found herself starting over in life, divorced after a 17-year marriage, with 3 grown kids and a day job that lost its luster, she finally decided that just existing wasn’t enough. She realized she was the only one who could make her dreams a reality. So she straightened her tiara, put on her cape, and set out to become her own superhero.
So began Everyday Girl Adventures. Born from the nostalgia of fun experiences she had with her family and girlfriends, Jean’s brand seeks and organizes fun and unique opportunities to bring people together and create lasting memories. Adventure is everywhere. Jean’s goal is to help others recognize the joy of a moment and inspire them to find the adventure in their everyday.
Having spent most of her life feeling like a misfit herself, Jean also wanted to create a place where entrepreneurs of all backgrounds could feel comfortable coming together, no matter the stage of their business, to inspire each other and grow their businesses. Jean understands the universal connection women have with one another and the empowerment that comes from women supporting women. MissFit Networking Group is a place for just that—it’s where every “miss” fits.
When people ask how Jean manages to have so many fun experiences, the answer is simple: she says yes to every opportunity. You only live once—and ultimately, it’s the memories, no matter how big or small, that make it all worth living. So, say yes to every opportunity. Find your superpower. Believe in your dreams. In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take.
