Terry Ruth Eissfeldt

Award-winning author, Terry Ruth, is a lifelong animal lover and was born with an incurable disease known as ‘horse fever’. She pursued certification as a riding instructor rather than university, much to her parent’s disbelief.

She taught horseback riding for many years at summer camps, private lesson programs, therapeutic riding programs, and through Pony Club.

In the small, isolated community of Port McNeill, BC, Terry Ruth started and ran the Gate House Community Association for ten years. She was the driving force behind the free After School Drama program, where she also taught and authored many plays and musicals.

Terry Ruth also loves teaching God's word and has spoken at churches and small conferences. She led worship for over 25 years and has written many songs and poems for her audience of One.

After raising four children and spending thirty years on North Vancouver Island, she now lives near Edmonton, Alberta, with her husband, dogs, and horses.​
