Susan Johnson Rudd was born and raised in a railroad town in east central Alabama where she currently lives with her husband, daughter’s family, and two cats, Mozzarella and Nugget. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, photography, gardening, reading, and writing, particularly poetry. Her love of poetry started at a young age when her paternal grandmother introduced her to the works of Robert Louis Stevenson. Her father was a Baptist minister who wrote poetry and songs. Currently, she is working on a memoir titled My Journey Through the Valley of Shadows.
