Robin Meyer is a historical linguist and linguistic typologist working on language contact and syntactic change in late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Caucasus. Since 2020, he has been Assistant Professor of Historical Linguistics and the Université de Lausanne, Switzerland. Prior to his appointment there, he taught historical linguistics and classical philology at the University of Oxford, England, as well as Latin and Ancient Greek language classes. He is the author of "Iranian Syntax in Classical Armenian" (OUP 2023) and the editor of co-editor of a number of books on historical linguistics, the history of linguistics, and Armenian Studies.
