Ian Horne

Ian Horne is a finance and technology writer and content creator, based in London. Beyond writing, he is the EU Head of Content at Money20/20 and part of the team that sets the agenda for the liveliest show in fintech. Prior to this he was the head of a UK networking team at Citywire, where he designed and created newsletters, podcasts and videos for the financial advice and wealth management markets.

Ian has recently written his first full-length book, Why DeFi Matters, which seeks to cut through the hype and fear to explain what decentralized finance really means for the finance industry. DeFi has no shortage of evangelists and no lack of doubters, but blockchain and smart contracts can have, and are having, a significant impact on finance at large. This book tells the story of what's happened, what DeFi really is, what it might become, and what it tells us about money itself.
