Porsha Garrett

Hi there! My name is Porsha Garrett and I was born in Milwaukee, WI. I'm a proud mother of four children and three adorable cats who have become part of our family.

In 2018, I started baackofthecloset when I was cleaning out my closet and found a small basket of clothes that I wanted to sell. Little did I know, this small venture would grow into a huge online store selling new and gently used clothing and accessories.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, I was unfortunately furloughed from my job. However, I used this time to explore my creativity and started crafting. I made shirts, created mugs and cups, and other household items which led to the formation of 1128lifestyle.

During this time, I also decided to enroll in online courses to enhance my knowledge in marketing and digital e-commerce. As a result, I became a state-licensed notary in 2021.

With my newfound knowledge and passion, I wrote and self-published my first book in 2022. Since then, I've written several books in different genres and my vivid imagination keeps me always on the go.

In addition to my online store, crafting, and writing, I also create social media content and have gained quite a following. Through my social media platforms, I share my personal style, fashion tips, and DIY projects. It brings me joy to connect with others and inspire them to express their own creativity.
