Randy Corwin

I, Randy Corwin, am a lifelong Bostonian who earned a BA in Psychology from Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1977, and have a sharp, scathing sense of humor people say I was born with. I coached youth baseball for ten years prior to becoming an umpire in 2008. With almost thirty years of involvement in youth and high school baseball, I've seen everything from coaches fighting during games, to parents starting brawls, umpires needing police protection from angry parents and so much more. A member of the Central Massachusetts Baseball Umpires Association, I officiate over 100 games per year in recreational and competitive youth and high school leagues. A father of two adult children, myself and my wife Janice, who calls herself "a baseball widow" every year during the baseball season, live in a southwest suburb of Boston. "Obnoxious Parents and Ruthless Coaches" is my first book.
