As a victim of sexual abuse, I learned at an early age how to survive in a world gone mad. After reaching adulthood, it took a while (10 years) for me to realize that the skills I had automated were now keeping me from living my best life. I set about learning, through multiple types of therapy, how to get beyond surviving and into thriving.

It's been a long journey, with many pitfalls and setbacks. I had to struggle against society's preconceived notions that, if you have suffered through sexual abuse as a child, you are scarred for life. I refused to buy into that and this has served me well.

Having learned so much along the way, I decided I would help others who have suffered similarly. I got my formal education after the age of 30, studying social work, psychology and coaching and making my own brand of healing therapy out of the three, combined with my personal experiences. The result is 'I Thrive!' A guide for healing from childhood sexual abuse.
