Josh Slotnick

Josh Slotnick has farmed in Missoula MT for 30 years, he’s also a dad and County Commissioner. He pauses once-a-week or so to attempt to capture some of the stories that inherently come by in all of that. He served in the US Peace Corps, taught in the Environmental Studies program at the University of Montana for 21 years and co-founded the community agriculture organization Garden City Harvest. He’s spoken widely on food and farming, written book chapters and articles and now a second book of poems. These days though he speaks more about property taxes and road improvements than food miles and soil quality, but there’s great fodder for poems in there too.
