Robert W Talbott

Born 3/29/1953 in Anchorage, Alaska. Born into a military family. Father and Uncles were all servicemen. Moved almost every other year. In twelve years, attended ten different schools. From Alaska to Iran. After high school joined USNavy. Enlisted for three years. Afterwards, I enrolled in college on G.I. Bill. Discovered CIvil War History as taught by a university professor. Married, one daughter, one granddaughter. Own home. Got in involved with Civil War reenactments in 1980. As of this date, 43 years in hobby. Writing influenced by George MacDonald Fraser's Flashman series , as well as pulp fiction from the 1930's. Writer such as L Ron Hubbard (before Scientology). He wrote many two-fisted adventures. Others too numerous to mention include writers of The Shadow, G-8 and his Battle Aces, the Spider, Operator 5, The Secret Six, Doc Savage, and others. They wrote with plenty of action and very little plot. I hope you enjoy this effort of mine. The memoirs are totally different, as I attempted to show life in the hobby as I saw it. Every word is true. I may have elaborated on some things.
