Igor Smirnov

Igor Smirnov graduated from St. Petersburg Naval Academy in 1975, Faculty of Fission Reactors and Engineering, with a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Smirnov remained actively involved in advanced research regarding the effects of low-frequency electromagnetic oscillations (EMFs) on human cellular physiology at St. Petersburg State University and received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1986.[4][5][6][20]

Career

After his studies, he spent two years in St. Petersburg, Russia, restoring precious icons and paintings at the Russian Museum of Art and the Museum of Urban Sculpture. He participated in the Russian nonconformist or “underground” art movement in the early 1980s. In St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Germany between 1982 and 1988, the most well-known “underground” art exhibitions included Smirnov’s creations.[22]

In 1986, following the catastrophic nuclear plant radiation leak at Chornobyl, Russia, which caused more than three million cases of cancer, Smirnov and his scientific team investigated the normalizing effect of certain mountain spring water on victims of the radioactive fallout. It led to his invention of the Molecular Resonance Effect Technology (MRET). Based on MRET, Smirnov developed different types of patented products that help activate water and water-based products,[7][19] including the MRET Water Activator, MRET-Shield (electromagnetic radiation optimum neutralizer), and MRET Wave Rider device.[8]

Smirnov was awarded four US patents: Methods and Devices for Producing Activated Liquids and Methods of Use Thereof, Compositions for protection against electromagnetic radiation exposure, Electromagnetic radiation shielding material, and device, and Devices and methods for protection against exposure to electromagnetic radiation.[4][7][8][20]

Using MRET, Smirnov built the WaveRider technology,[9] which reduces EMR, including high frequency, low frequency, and underground radiation. It creates natural frequency without affecting the transmission quality of WiFi or mobile signals, thus resembling a harmless natural environment from radiation in every family. It is proprietary with US patents and has been tested and certified by several independent laboratories in the US.[1][7][10][21][23][24][25]

Smirnov conducted advanced research and study of the psychosomatic development of children swimming in infancy at St. Petersburg Children's Hospital. The results of his research were significant enough to be published by the World Health Organization in Munich, Germany, St. Petersburg University Press, and peer-reviewed magazines such as Explore Magazine, The Electric Space Craft Journal, The Electronic Journal of Biotechnology, and The European Journal of Scientific Research.[4][20]

Smirnov lectures and speaks at international scientific congresses and conferences such as The 28th Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference at MD Anderson Cancer Center (2012), Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium (2011), International Biophysics Congress (2008), Anti-Aging International Conferences (2003-2008), International Microwave Symposium (2007), Bioelectromagnetic Society Annual Meetings (2004-2007), Rutgers Symposium on Lunar Settlements (2007), The Society for Physical Regulation in Biology and Medicine Conference (2006),[11] Thailand National Cancer Center Symposium (2005), Thailand Ministry of Public Health and The Chemistry Society of Thailand Meeting (2005), Asia-Pacific Electromagnetic Fields Conference (2004), First Asia and Oceanic Congress for Radiation Protection (2002), and Effects of EMR on Biological Systems Conference (2000).[20] He is a member of the Bioelectromagnetics Society of America, the Biophysical Society, and the Association of American Engineers.[4]

Smirnov is the Founder and CEO of Global Quantech, a US Biotechnology Research corporation.[4][8] He is affiliated with well-known scientists, including Dr. John Lilly and Masaru Emoto.

His works of art are held in the collections of several institutions, including the C.A.S.E. Museum Of Contemporary Art in New Jersey and Paris, the Funds Of Russian Contemporary Art in Munich, the Art Brillant Co. Ltd. in Tokyo, and the Museum Of Dostoevsky in St. Petersburg, Russia.[22][24]

John Whitehead, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, was interested in Smirnov’s artwork when he visited Moscow in December 1987 in advance of the meeting between President Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. Smirnov was permitted to move to the United States after Whitehead personally requested it of Shevardnadze, the Soviet Minister of Foreign Affairs. The artist settled down contentedly in California, using the advantages and excitement of the new surroundings.[22]
