Hello, I'm Mel, the owner of Mel's Custom Designs, and I'm thrilled to share my passion for coloring books with you. As an avid coloring book enthusiast myself, I find joy, relaxation, and a sense of accomplishment in every page I color. That's why I became a coloring book author – to bring that same joy to others.

My artistic journey began early on, as I've always been drawn to creative expression. From writing stories and poetry to creating drawings and paintings, art has been an integral part of my life. However, like many of us, life took me on a different path for a while. It was only in recent years that I rediscovered my creative side and decided to share my art with those who find it intriguing.

Themes and subjects in my coloring books span a wide array, but you'll notice a recurring presence of mushrooms, a personal fascination, as well as fantasy, mythical, and folklore creatures. These themes allow me to delve into worlds of imagination and create captivating illustrations that ignite your artistic spirit.

When it comes to coloring, my go-to medium is colored pencils, particularly soft-core pencils. The depth of color and the control they offer truly enhance the coloring experience. Even on a budget, there are remarkable options available that can bring your creations to life.

Exciting things are on the horizon! I have three new books in progress that I can't wait to share with you. Additionally, I have other projects in the works that go beyond coloring books, giving you a glimpse into my other artistic endeavors.
