Elayne Gorhum

Elayne Gorhum is a mother, wife, former educator, and a survivor of stage four cancer. In “The Adventures of Doodlebug Banister-Through the Looking glass she aims to share a story that gives hope and gives children permission to walk through hard things. When Elayne went through treatment and her young daughter started asking questions, she struggled to find books that weren’t morbid or sad. So…she wrote one. We never know how a health journey will end. Elayne wrote this book to give children and families permission to have hope. Hope for the journey, hope for the future, hope to go on, no matter what.
