Gustav Cederlöf

Gustav Cederlöf is an Associate Senior Lecturer in Human Ecology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He previously taught at King's College London and the London School of Economics.

Cederlöf's research explores the political and cultural dimensions of environmental change, focusing on the relationship between energy systems and social life. His research interests also encompass the history of socialist Cuba and radical solutions to the climate crisis. He is the author of two books, "The Low-Carbon Contradiction: Energy Transition, Geopolitics, and the Infrastructural State in Cuba" (University of California Press, 2023) and "Discovering Political Ecology" (with Alex Loftus, Routledge, 2024).
