About the Author

Leslee Flanagan is a retired teacher passionate about animals and the environment. She volunteers at her local Aquarium as docent for the Beluga whale exhibit. She is also a First Responder in their Animal Rescue Program.

Leslee has always loved to write and read stories. Her childhood adventures exploring the woods and taking care of a wide variety of animals created a lifelong passion to care for animals and the environment.

Raising four children and now enjoying time with her nine grandchildren has given her a treasure trove of ideas to tap into for her stories.

Prior to retiring Leslee was an Elementary school teacher for seventeen years.

Leslee could often be found leading science experiments, organizing hikes, and visiting museums with her students. A degree in Animal Science and being a licensed Arborist helped fuel her interest in offering these experiences to children.

Leslee's often-convoluted life path has given her a wealth of material for her stories. Her wish is for children to know they can make a positive difference in the world.
