Joanne Telcide-Bryant

Joanne Telcide-Bryant is a first-generation Haitian-American, an award-winning published children's book author, an educational consultant, and a presenter. Ms. Telcide-Bryant has completed her Education Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning with a focus on special education from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. As a veteran educator of 23 years within the public school sector, Ms. Telcide-Bryant has earned teaching certifications in the following fields: English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher, Speech and Language Pathology (SLP), Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Impaired (TSHH), Early Intervention Teacher (EI), Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT), and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) interventionist. As a bilingual speaker of English and Haitian Creole, Ms. Telcide-Bryant promotes cultural sensitivity and provides optimal awareness of cultural diversity as a component of her instructional delivery. As each of her books focuses on various growth-mindset themes, all of her books encourage readers to think critically through Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
