Mike served as Executive Vice President / Chief Revenue Officer in the exciting beverage industry for 38 years. Mike’s heart led leadership allowed him to witness the evolution and growth of both the people and organization he served to become the market share leader. He passionately supported serving others to pursue and achieve their full potential, which brought energetic meaning to every day.

While serving the industry, he was a member of numerous brewer distributor national councils and sub-committees, as both a member to include his chairmanship of Heineken USA’s national council. He was also a member of the National Beer Wholesalers Association Managerial Board and Board of Directors. During his career he served on several panels, with the subject matter including advocacy for women in leadership, culture, and other business topics.

He has achieved leadership certifications from Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching® and the Stagen Integral Learning Program whereby he achieved his ILP blackbelt and a two-year Advanced Certification. He is also a Certified Life Coach from the Life Coach Training Institute. Mike started Barnes Leadership and Strategy Coaching whereby he has been a keynote speaker on Authentic Servant Leadership for Next Generation Leaders and the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission – NRC and Distributors.
