Hello I'm Anne Holley, I was born in Mortlake Surrey, moving to Shepperton at the age of 14.
I worked my apprenticeship as a hairdresser where I stayed until I married and had 2 children. After the family left home I accumulated 5 dogs, Alice, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and 4 Border Collies.Years later I moved to the Isle Of Wight to pursue my passion for walking. Due to an injury and being grounded for awhile and being totally fed up, I decided I needed a project and realised the adventures and mischief of Alice would make a delightful story for all ages. On showing it to my friends they encouraged me to turn it into a book. With my interest in charities I decided to go ahead and use her for fundraising for my favourite cause's.
My book 'Why Am I Doing This' is a collection of 5 stories of challenges I have done through the years.
My latest book 'Right Around The Wight' was suggested by a friend that I put all into a book, telling readers about the many highs and lows of completing 67 miles, taking 31 hours, on foot, non stop...
My chosen charity now is 'Dementia U.K. Admiral Nurses Isle of Wight
