Nelson Riverdale

Nelson Riverdale studied at NYSD and CUNY and is an active member of Love Gospel Assembly, a non-denominational church in the inner city of the Bronx, NY. He is the man behind the camera in the audiovisual department. The author admits he was never interested in poetry. He never studied poetry and never read poems by other authors. But all that changed when he met the love of his life, Merlene Ann Martin, and today he continues to love his late wife through the poems he writes. He is the author of two books: Across the Sands of Time, published in 2010, and his most recent one, published in May 2023: Poems of a Broken Heart: The true story of his life with the woman he married, written a year after her sudden passing in 2020. Nelson Riverdale has no biological children. But God provided a daughter for him named Kathy.
