David C. Hoke

David C. Hoke grew up on RoboCop, Die Hard, and Star Wars. He spent years making indie films in Texas — wrote, produced, directed, and eventually got movies into regional theaters, TV, and onto Amazon Prime.

When the stories in his head got too big for the budgets he could raise, he did the only logical thing: he wrote them as novels instead.

His debut series, Mirov, is a blood-soaked sci-fi action saga about a genetically enhanced assassin betrayed by the government that built her. It's been compared to RoboCop, Aliens, and The Hunger Games — and won the BookFest Award and Reader Views Reviewers' Choice Award.

His western thriller Pistol Jake has the moral weight and landscape of a John Ford film, with the graphic violence and sex scenes Ford never got to shoot.

He lives in Central Texas with his family.
