Jake Lee

Jake Lee has spent time at International Schools both as a student and for a time in Thailand, as a teacher. These experience helped inspire him to write the Bangkok Silom International Series books. He began writing the first book on a lazy Bangkok afternoon back in 2019. Book one, Double Act, was released in June 2023, with the next to in the series to follow before the end of the year.

Jake's own experiences in schools add an authenticity to his writing.

He considers Bangkok very much to be home.

"The school environment for young gay students has changed so much in the last 20 years, and it is so uplifting to see confident and out LGBTQ+ teens. Characters like Danai have the self-awareness that I wished I had had in my teenage years!" Jake Lee.
