My name is James L Stahl. I was born in Bethlehem, PA and currently live there with my wife, Janet. My MA thesis from UT-Arlington, was based on qualitative and quantitative research conducted in Kohistan, a northern part of Pakistan. Additionally, I researched sociolinguistic and language development issues in S Asia, the Philippines, and in Vanuatu. Since 2006, Janet and I have used a Biblical storytelling methodology that helps communities around the world begin Bible translation and engage with scripture in their own languages. As a member of this team, I’ve been able to draw from experience and expertise in sociolinguistic research, interviewing, and storytelling. Together, we've coached teams from approximately 80 language groups to craft and tell biblical stories in their languages. I like photography, choir, gardening, biking, books, and travel.
