NOTE: IF YOU HAVE A CHILD OR PLANNING TO HAVE A CHILD OR KNOW A CHILD, YOU NEED THIS BOOK!

Anthony acquired his life experiences in many areas, including leadership in Facility Operations & Management and

Architectural Engineering for substance abuse and mental health, K-12 education, and scientific research organizations;

former paralegal/law clerk and lead investigator with a law firm; former Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); former

educator as Director of Band and Orchestra Performance; and Capital Planning & Sustainable Initiatives Consultant.

He grew up mainly in one of the most notorious neighborhoods in Chicago (Cabrini Green), which rooted in some behaviors

lacking moral values; unhealthy environments affected by drug addiction; physical & psychological abuse; and juvenile

delinquency. These same behaviors are also reflected across cultures outside Cabrini Green. His social science and psychology

experiences were later broadened through formal education.

Anthony’s father was killed in a workplace accident the same week he was born. He was a ward of the state for two years and

subsequently, with foster parents; was homeless for a period; and began his independent journey in mainstream society as an

adult at age 15. Anthony realizes that the street violence in Chicago -and throughout the country, is primarily due to young

people not having essential moral values and guidance to steer them on the path of success in life, which can lead to early

adversities; failure in school; not being law-abiding citizens; gang affiliation; and not embracing humanity & self-respect.

In fact, the observation was that generations are repeating cycles of spiritual poverty and having the same ruinous

(damaging) result. Cycles that some people feel content (satisfied) to sustain and accept ‘no’ to change. The changes that are

needed to end this cyclic disaster and curtail violence are reflected in this book that provides guidance for success in life for

the child and family. "From having been a child, we all know the extent of our own cultural heritage.”
