Jim Draper

I am a retired boilermaker living back in the UK after spending many years living and working in South Africa. I love drawing and painting which gives me the added reward of illustrating the children's books that I enjoy writing. My only full length young adult novel to date features a young Zulu boy and is heavily influenced by the people I used to work with. The only technical book I wrote is an instruction manual for apprentice boilermakers as I believe we should give as much help and encouragement possible to those following our lead. I live a quiet life now with my partner Wendy and the boss of the house; a toy poodle named Poppy.
